Mega Site Additions - News is Finally New, and More!
Wow.
The site has had some relatively major additions.
Have you picked yourself up off the floor yet? Yes, you heard me right. This is no “June Fool’s” joke. The site has been updated, improved, and enhanced.
There’s lots to debut, but I’ll start with the most notable- this section right here. What you’re already reading.
News Section
That’s right, as promised, SamParmelee.com has finally re-launched the “News” (a.k.a. “The Latest”) section of the website. This whole area will actually serve several purposes. Undoubtedly, when most of you click on “News” way up at the top of any page on this site, you’re expecting to see a page filled with… news! And that’s certainly the sort of thing you’ll be able to find here. From time to time I’ll be posting updates about various projects I’ve been working on.
However, I’ll also be using this area of the site for several other kinds of updates. If you look at the right side of the front news page, you’ll see that I’ll add content in categories beyond just that of my professional work. For example, I’ll occasionally post updates in categories such as noteworthy events and milestones in my personal life (Biographical Tidbits), my thoughts, opinions, and experiences (Sam’s Ramblings & Adventures), and, of course, as with this very post, notifications about updates and enhancements to the site (Site News & Updates).
But wait! There’s more!
News Section Features
Everything here in this “news” section (The Latest) is fully searchable. At any time, you can search through everything here. “But how?” you might ask? Well, by using the search field- conveniently located on the front news page at the right hand side. You can also browse/navigate through postings sorted and archived either by category or by date. Wow!
As if that’s not enough… now you can personally participate around here! Those of you just dying to get it off your chest and publicly knowledge just how great and brilliant you think I am (right?), you can now do so to your heart’s content. To leave a comment or respond to something, just click on the title of the original post. There’s an easy form provided at the bottom of the new page. Since we all hate spam, you have to register once before you can post, but it’s a really short and painless process to do so. To register and/or login, just visit the links on the right of the page, just under the heading “The Latest”.

Announcement List
I now have an email announcement list.
That’s right! Now, millions of fans from around the globe (or at least my wife, my parents, and the old ladies to whom my grandma is assumedly bragging) can sign up to get occasional email announcements from me. These announcements might be about projects I’ve been working on, exciting (or not so exciting) professional developments, or public performances/screenings of my work. You know, announcements! I promise- NO SPAM! To sign up for this super-duper announcement list, go register your email address here. I should also probably mention that you can also unsubscribe at any time from that same page. But why would you ever want to?!
Well, I’ve also done some minor housekeeping, cleanup, and content addition here-and-there. There are a couple more photo galleries up (Songfest-related). Really, though, I’d say that’s plenty of updates for now. I’ve got a non-reputation to maintain, and I can’t have you all expecting every site update to be as exciting as this one.
